Xian Yun Overview

An Independent College-Prep Arts Secondary School

Founded by a group of Bay Area parents with a passion for traditional arts and a wish for children to receive well-rounded education

Xian Yun Academy provides a college-preparatory academic program combined with advanced art training to students in grades 6 through 12. Xian Yun is fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).

Our unique Whole Child Education Model was recognized by the WASC visiting committee as “a unique and needed educational option for students not only in California but internationally as well.”

Xian Yun Academy of the Arts California is accredited by the Schools Commission of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).

Class Size

 15 or fewer students per class


Grades 6th-12th.  Xian Yun Academy’s high school curriculum is approved by the University of California’s “A-G” program. In addition, we provide students with access to intellectually challenging coursework by offering 12 Advanced Placement and 6 honor classes.

2018-2019 School Year
•    Middle School (Grades 6-8): $25,400 per school year ($28,800 for international students)
•    High School (Grades 9-12): $30,400 per school year ($33,800 for international students)
•    Tuition includes the cost of instruction, books and educational materials, and laboratory fees. English as a Second Language class is provided to international students.
