Xian Yun’s arts program trains students in technical competence and enriches their lives with beauty. Traditional arts training helps students build their capabilities in academic subjects. It also helps them become more focused and self-disciplined, improves their academic efficiency, and ultimately leads to greater academic achievements.
Xian Yun provides unparalleled systematic training in two dance programs: Classical Ballet and Chinese Dance. Students will develop beauty of both the mind and body in addition to learning principles of classical Western and Chinese dance culture. Students will also develop proficiency in technique, and be able to translate intent into action. Xian Yun’s dance studios are considered the best of their class in training facilities.
The well known sophisticated grace, elegance, and propriety of ballet are qualities that Xian Yun’s dance program instills within our students. Ballet’s technical precision also outlines an attentiveness to details that produces artistic beauty and can be applied to many areas of work and daily life.
Through our systematic ballet training, Xian Yun enhances our students’ physical beauty and artistic grace and imparts to them the noble qualities and regal bearing of the Western world’s hallmark classical dance form.
Classical Chinese dance is one of the most comprehensive dance systems in the world. Through systematic training in dance fundamentals, flexibility, techniques, skills, and the unique element of shen yun, or ‘bearing’, students gradually master an exciting classical art form that is dynamic in both its expressiveness and methods of presentation. Yet, the true beauty of Classical Chinese dance does not stop at the surface level, as it has inherited the cultural depth of China’s rich cultural history.
