Xian Yun Overview

A College Preparatory Independent Arts Secondary School

Founded by a group of individuals with a passion for traditional arts and a wish for children to receive well-rounded education

Xian Yun provides a college-preparatory academic program combined with advanced arts training to students in grades 5 through 12. Xian Yun is fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).

On a regular day, students take the required academic classes and devote 2 or more hours to their art discipline of choice, either performing or visual arts. Our unique Whole Child Education Model was recognized by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) visiting committee as “a unique and needed educational option for students not only in California, but internationally as well.”

Xian Yun has a 100% graduation rate with 100% of our graduates being accepted into 4-year universities. Our graduates pursue an array of higher education programs, including graphics design, civil engineering, economics, music performance, health sciences, fashion design, etc.

Our graduates have been accepted into top universities, including:

Grades 5th-12th.  Xian Yun’s high school curriculum is approved by the University of California’s “A-G” program. In addition, we provide students with access to intellectually challenging coursework by offering 12 Advanced Placement and 5 honor courses.

2018-2019 School Year
  • Middle School (Grades 6-8): $25,400 per school year ($28,800 for international students)
  • High School (Grades 9-12): $30,400 per school year ($33,800 for international students)
  • Tuition includes cost of instruction, books and educational materials, and laboratory fees. English as a Second Language classes are provided to international students.
