Submission: Please submit your completed application form through Praxischool, our online school management system. We also accept admissions sent by mail, email, or in person. Every application must include the non-refundable application fee of $50 ($100 for International applicants), payable to Xian Yun Academy of the Arts California.

The deadline to apply for the 2019-2020 school year is January 31st, 2019. Decision letters will be mailed in mid-March. Xian Yun Academy will accept late applicants only if there are openings.
Submit transcript: Parents/guardians must complete the Transcript Release Form and deliver it to the student’s current school’s counselor/registrar to have the student’s transcript sent to the Xian Yun Academy Admissions Office.
Please note that all high school Music Conservatory applicants will need to send in an audition recording in the instrument they intend to study at Xian Yun.
- Chromatic scale – minimum 2 octaves – quarter note = 106
- Required major scale
- An etude, sonata, or showpiece of your choice that demonstrates technical and interpretive accomplishment. No piano accompaniment required.

Interview: Upon receiving the application form and application fee payment, we will schedule an in-person 30-minute interview with the applicant and their parents. Students are selected for admission based on their demonstrated commitment to advancement in both academic and artistic studies, and the ability to contribute to building a successful, supportive, and inclusive school community.
